Our History:

This theatre company was born of a recurring dream that I began to have in 1997. In the dream, I was always standing across the street from a place and reading the sign in front that said, "Soulstice". For a long time, I just dreamed about the sign. As the dream later began to evolve, I would walk across the street and into the building. At this point, the building became a church. The dream was always the same. I'd weave my way to the sanctuary, and I'd see myself directing a show. It became clear to me that I was going to start a theatre company named, "Soulstice".

In the fall of 2001, I assembled a wonderful Board of Directors and began the journey. We first found The Hide House and settled there for 1 ½ years. It was a great location for our infancy, and we were able to produce nine shows there in two different spaces.

In the fall of 2003, we were ready to expand our programming, and we found the Marian Center. In addition to our black box studio, we now have access to a grand, 500 seat theatre on site. Until we find the "church", we'll continue to count our blessings here!

I'm so proud of what we are accomplishing. Now only are we producing meaningful theatre, but we continue to donate a portion of our box office receipts to a charity whose mission matches the meaning of the show!

In addition, STArS (Soulstice Theatre Arts School) began its programming in the summer of 2006! Now, we are providing theatre for the "young soul".

Soulstice is growing! Each new production is a baby step into our future. We feel honored to be working with many wonderful and talented people in the greater Milwaukee area. Dreams really can become reality.
